How Oregon taxes your paycheck
Oregon taxes wages at 4.75%, 6.75%, 8.75% and 9.9%; the lower bracket thresholds are indexed for 2026 ($4,550/$11,400 single, doubled for joint filers) while the $125,000/$250,000 top thresholds are not. Heads of household use the joint rate chart but have their own standard deduction. Oregon lets filers subtract federal income tax paid, capped at $8,750 for 2026 (up from $8,500) and phased out at higher incomes, and gives a $263-per-person exemption credit instead of a personal exemption deduction.

What this calculator does not include
The calculator subtracts federal income tax up to Oregon's $8,750 cap, phases that cap out between $125,000 and $145,000 of income ($250,000 to $290,000 joint and head of household), and drops the exemption credit above $100,000 ($200,000). The kicker, Oregon EIC, other credits and local taxes are not included. The calculator also leaves out dependents, tax credits, additional withholding on your W-4 and non-wage income. Your employer's withholding can differ from your final tax bill.
