About JobQuix

JobQuix exists to answer job-search questions quickly and correctly. Most career advice online is long, vague and written to fill space. We build tools that give you a number, a result or a finished document in seconds, and short guides that explain what to do next.

What you will find here

  • Pay calculators that convert hourly wages and salaries and estimate take-home pay with current federal, state, county and city tax figures, including the 2025 federal deductions for overtime and tips.
  • Company pay guides that explain what large US employers say they pay, with dated sources.
  • Interview quizzes for common roles and large employers, with an explanation for every answer.
  • Resume examples and Word templates for specific jobs, plus a private ATS keyword checker that reads PDF and Word files on your device.
  • Letter generators for two weeks notice letters and fax cover sheets, and cover letter examples by role.
  • Career tools, including a free Holland code (RIASEC) interest test and step-by-step career guides.

Who writes and reviews JobQuix

JobQuix is an independent website, and its pages are credited to the JobQuix Editorial Team. Every tax, wage and legal figure links to the government source it came from, so you can check it yourself.

How we work

Every guide is written for US job seekers and reviewed against primary sources such as the IRS, the Social Security Administration, the U.S. Department of Labor, the EEOC and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Our calculators show their formulas so you can check the math, and the tax engine is covered by automated tests against official examples. Read our editorial policy for the details.

How we keep data current

  • Every November: new IRS brackets and standard deductions, the Social Security wage base and 401(k) limits for the coming year.
  • January and July: state minimum wage increases and state income tax changes that take effect on those dates.
  • When a state or city announces a change: county and city tax rates, such as Maryland and Indiana county taxes and city wage taxes.
  • Company pay pages: rechecked against each company's own announcements at least twice a year.
