Current minimum wage in Florida

Florida's minimum wage reached $15.00 an hour on September 30, 2026, the final step of the increases voters approved in 2020. Tipped workers must receive at least $11.98 an hour in cash wages, and starting in 2028 the rate will be adjusted each January for inflation.

The rate rose from $14.00 (effective September 30, 2025) to $15.00 on September 30, 2026, an increase of $1.00 an hour or $2,080 a year for a full-time worker.
